WordPress 2.8: coming soon to a blog near you

I dropped into WordPress trac to see the progress on 2.8, which had earlier passed by a release date, and I can’t remember the last time I saw a version with fewer open tickets as a percentage of total tickets. Apparently they are working hard to get everything in and all the known bugs flushed.

Blogging without a net

So, you put 150 images and 1900 words in one (1) post and your upset because the autosave function in the editor at the old .com takes too long to autosave. I won’t mention how incredibly ill-advised it is to put 150 images in one post (no, really I won’t).

You will have tags and you WILL like it

It seems the WordPress.com overlords, have updated all themes that did not display tags on the posts so that they now show them, supposedly for consistency from theme to theme.
The problem here is that many out there chose the theme they were using because it did not show the tags, and of course, the overlords [...]
