It seems the WordPress.com overlords, have updated all themes that did not display tags on the posts so that they now show them, supposedly for consistency from theme to theme.
The problem here is that many out there chose the theme they were using because it did not show the tags, and of course, the overlords [...]

Globally broken

I’ve come to the conclusion after seeing so many threads in the dot com forums about posts not showing up in the WordPress.com global tags pages, that something is amiss in MattLand.
Granted, some people are using more tagegories [1] on posts than are allowed [2] due to tag-dexers, but there is an odor in the air [...]
