Globally broken

I’ve come to the conclusion after seeing so many threads in the dot com forums about posts not showing up in the WordPress.com global tags pages, that something is amiss in MattLand.

Granted, some people are using more tagegories [1] on posts than are allowed [2] due to tag-dexers, but there is an odor in the air and it ain’t my cat’s litterbox. And not all of the blogs are new and within the new global tag probationary period of unknown length. Some have been around for months.

Staff has been silent lately on this, so perhaps they are ignoring it (if it is a real problem). We do know that there was a Uh-oh in the tagegories a week or so back. Perhaps they have not completely exterminated the bug.

[1] The word tagegories was coined, I believe, by Wank to describe the wordpress tags and categories, which are really the same. Two names to increase confusion for the bloggers.

[2] The total according to a forum response by Mark is a total of 12 (tags + categories).

[Edit: It is interesting to note that I had published this, and it had paragraph breaks when I published it, and when I viewed it on the actual blog, and somewhere along the line the paragraph breaks disappeared. All I can do is shrug.]
